Internal Mobility Track
- On-site, Hybrid
- Engineering
Job description
TechWolf is the #1 data layer powering enterprise workforce transformation. Our AI turns raw workforce data into skills, work and market intelligence, enabling fairer, smarter talent decisions and helping shape how millions of employees thrive at work.
We build software that helps the world's largest enterprises move people towards the work where they have the most impact. This role is us doing exactly that, internally.
The opportunity
Most technical and consulting careers run in a straight line: junior, senior, manager, lead, in one function, in one place. That is not the only way to build a career, and it is not the only way we build ours.
This track is for people who join TechWolf in Belgium with the explicit ambition of not staying in the same seat. You start in a real role with real accountability, either in Professional Services or in Engineering. You spend your first stretch going deep: the product, the AI behind it, the enterprise systems that some of the biggest companies in the world run on, and the customers who depend on all of it. Then, when you are ready and when the business has a need, you move.
We think that is a better way to build a career. You need to have seen the business from several angles before you can lead any part of it well.
Where you start
You will join one of two teams in Ghent, in the standard role, with the standard onboarding. Getting properly grounded is the whole point.
Professional Services. You design, build and drive the implementation of TechWolf's AI engine in complex enterprise environments. You connect us to systems like Workday, SuccessFactors and Oracle, you help customers get their data AI-ready, and you educate technical and business stakeholders on what our intelligence actually does for them.
Engineering. You build the product itself, working across NLP, data science, back-end and front-end alongside experienced engineers, with hands-on mentorship while you find the discipline that fits you.
Where you could go next
There is no single destination. Depending on where the business needs you and where you have grown, a move can look like any of these;
A move abroad. Our teams in New York, London and San Francisco all grow with people who already know the product and the customers. Roles that open up there include implementation engineering, solution consulting and presales, and customer success.
A move across functions, here in Belgium. Professional Services into presales. Engineering into a customer-facing role. Delivery into Product. The pattern we see most often is people carrying deep product and customer knowledge into a part of the org that badly needs it, which makes the whole company better at its job.
A short rotation. Our tech evangelist assignments run roughly four months. You embed somewhere else in the business, learn how it really works, and bring the learnings back.
Deeper where you are. Plenty of people discover that the role they joined in is the one they want to master. That is a legitimate outcome of this track, not a failure of it.
How this actually works
Internal colleagues always go first. Every mobility opportunity is offered internally before anything else. Joining through this track puts you on that list, at the bottom of it. It is not a fast lane and we will not pretend otherwise.
Roughly 12 months is the minimum expectation. That is not an arbitrary waiting period. It is how long it takes to be genuinely ingrained in our product, our customers and our way of working.
It is unlocked, not owed. Eligibility runs on tenure plus consistently strong performance. There is no guaranteed date and no guaranteed city. Anyone counting down a calendar will be disappointed.
You drive it. Your manager will support you, coach you and be honest with you about timing. They will not sell you a move. When you want one, you raise it.
Timing depends on the team too. We will not pull someone out of a team that cannot absorb the loss. A move happens when there is a business need on one side and a plan on the other.
Job requirements
Who you are
You are early in your career or a few years into it, in engineering, technical consulting, implementation, solutions or a similar field. Recent graduates are welcome.
You are T-shaped. You want to go deep enough to be genuinely good at something, and broad enough to be useful in more than one seat.
You are actively interested in moving, across functions, across countries, or both. This is the one thing we will ask you about directly in the process, and we want an honest answer rather than the one you think we want.
You are comfortable with ambiguity. A career that branches is less predictable than one that climbs, and you find that appealing rather than unsettling.
You are strong at structured problem-solving and you communicate clearly, in writing and in front of people who are not in your discipline.
You are excited about AI, both in what we build and in how you work. You already use AI tools to accelerate your own work, or you are eager to make AI-first ways of working part of your toolkit.
You are based in Belgium and happy to work from our Ghent office at least three days per week.
For the Engineering entry point specifically: you are open to your career eventually taking you toward customer-facing work. You do not have to want that today. You do have to be genuinely open to it.
