Functional Analyst

  • On-site
  • Product

Job description

We’re looking for a Functional Analyst to help us move fast and go deep on our most strategic partner integrations. You’ll collaborate with our Product Lead for Integrations and Engineering team to build robust, high-leverage connections with platforms like Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, and ServiceNow.

Your work will span early exploration (digging into APIs and user flows) through to supporting engineering with detailed, actionable specs. You’ll turn ambiguity into clarity—defining integration behaviors, edge cases, and data mapping in ways that enable speed without sacrificing quality.

This is a
force-multiplier role, built for someone who thrives on structured thinking, system integration, and collaboration across disciplines.

What you'll do:

  • Evaluate Opportunities: Partner with the Product Lead to assess integration feasibility—review APIs, surface possible use cases, and document key user flows.

  • Author Specs: Create high-quality functional specifications that engineering can directly implement—covering data structures, dependencies, constraints, and workflows.

  • Facilitate Alignment: Drive clarity through refinement sessions, ensuring that everyone understands both business context and technical details.

  • Support Execution: Act as a go-to partner for engineering—available to answer questions, refine scope, and iterate on specs based on evolving needs.

  • Deepen Existing Integrations: Focus on taking already-deep partner platforms to the next level by exploring advanced capabilities and unmet user needs.

  • Enable Product Insight: Where helpful, bring in tools like PostHog or similar to understand user interaction patterns or validate integration assumptions.

Why This Role Matters

Great integrations are essential to delivering on the promise of our AI and data products. This role allows us to scale strategically—not just by adding integrations, but by deepening the value and usability of the ones that matter most.
