Chief of Staff

  • On-site
  • CEO Office

Job description

TechWolf is on a mission to have a lasting and meaningful impact on society. Our purpose is to make people flourish at work. We do that by enabling employers to transform into skill-based organisations as the world’s leading provider of AI-driven skills infrastructure.

Over the last four years, we have tenfolded TechWolf’s ARR from under €0.5 million to over €5 million. We recently raised €40 million in Series B and are forecasting another year of triple-digit growth. These first successes are thanks to the real and tangible impact and value we have created for our customers (some of the largest enterprises in the world, like HSBC, GSK, BP, booking.com, etc.).

Our company is reaching a new phase of maturity, transitioning from a local start-up to a global scale-up with offices in Ghent, London, and New York. Our headcount is expected to double to 100+ by the end of 2024. Our structures are increasingly getting in shape to accommodate the international growth we aim to achieve.

Our Founders will need to narrow in on their Zone of Genius to remain impactful as the company grows. For our CEO, this role is primarily focused on building the organisation rather than running it — this is where your support comes in. As TechWolf continues to grow in size and complexity, it becomes essential to identify and create strategic leverage to match the company's expansion.

What you'll do

Extracting CEO vision

  • Help the CEO translate the vision for the company into memos and documents and act as a strategic thought partner on company-critical challenges.
  • This includes long-lasting and highly-referenced memos like our Annual Company Strategy memo or the CEO’s vision for the company, as well as more operational memos like board pre-reads and tactical memos.

Scaling Impact / Operational Leverage

  • Shadow the CEO in all external meetings, debrief and follow up on outstanding action items, both internally and externally. Take control of the CEO's schedule to drive the CEO's focus on the core priorities, and act as a CEO filter.
  • Help the CEO organise and run ExCo/leadership offsites and run leadership meetings.
  • The CEO and Chief of Staff will jointly visit global TechWolf offices (New York and London) and travel regularly (conferences, fundraising in the Bay Area). The Chief of Staff is expected to travel mainly alongside the CEO, requiring great flexibility.
  • Help the CEO carry the administrative load (scheduling joint trips, filtering email in the CEO inbox and following up on behalf of/per procurationem the CEO.

Board of Directors

  • The Chief of Staff is responsible (process owner) for board meetings at TechWolf. This includes scheduling, preparation of the pre-reads and agenda, curation of the board pack, note taking and ensuring follow-up on board meeting action items.
  • Next, the Chief of Staff will help manage investor relations and facilitate collaboration between TechWolf’s investor base and the company (teams and executives) in between board meetings.

Strategic Projects

  • Independently run strategic initiatives (e.g. partnerships with Workday, SAP, ServiceNow…) and project manage cross-functional CEO priority projects like geographical expansion and others.

As a proven leader, they are ready to step into a senior leadership position at TechWolf after their stint as Chief of Staff to the CEO.
