As an AI Product Engineer, you will bridge the gap between experimentation and productization. You won't just build models; you will build products powered by AI. Your role is to translate "what is possible with AI" into "what brings value to the user" You will drive medium- to large-scale initiatives end-to-end, moving seamlessly from rapid prototyping with LLMs to shipping high-quality, scalable services in production.

What you'll do:

  • Technical Product Discovery: Partner deeply with Product Managers and engage directly with customers to uncover user needs. You will translate ambiguous problem statements into concrete technical requirements to be executed on by you and the engineering teams.

  • Prototyping: Build lightweight, informative prototypes to validate assumptions and explore ideas quickly. You understand when to build a "hacky" proof-of-concept to test a hypothesis and when to engineer a robust solution for scale.

  • End-to-End Delivery: Help translate validated prototypes into enterprise-ready AI services. Contribute to production-quality code at the right stages of the software lifecycle and contribute to its quality, stability and scalability.

  • Project Management & Ownership: Take ownership of specific product areas. You will ensure realistic planning, flag risks proactively, and manage the technical scope to deliver predictable engineering efforts.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the technical voice in product discussions. You will articulate complex trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders and help the team balance user value with technical reality.

  • Technical Problem-Solving: Leverage strong programming and architectural skills to accelerate the team. You understand the impact of architectural decisions on technical debt and quality, and you are willing to get hands-on to unblock delivery or validate approaches.

Job requirements

Who you are:

  • You have 3-4 years of relevant experience shipping impactful software or AI products into production.

  • You care as much about why we are building something as how we build it. You are comfortable defining user stories and validating impact.

  • You can move fast to demonstrate value. You are comfortable using LLMs (e.g., via AWS Bedrock) and scripting tools to build functional demos that influence product direction.

  • You are proficient in Python and common AI frameworks (PyTorch, Transformers). You possess the software development skills needed to deploy AI services (API design, testing, observability).

  • You excel at explaining technical constraints to business stakeholders and translating business goals into technical specifications.

  • You know how to balance quality and speed in innovation cycles. You can identify the root problem and find the most effective technical solution.

  • You are based in Belgium and excited to work together with the TechWolf team in our Ghent office at least three days per week.
